Pamela M. Clausen
Pam Clausen, 59, passed away on the first day of Spring, March 20, 2026, after a battle with melanoma. She was born in Casco, Wisconsin on August 18, 1966, to Carol and LeRoy Schmidt. She was a class of 1984 graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Green Bay-Wisconsin. Pam spent her childhood growing up on the farm and riding horses before moving to Kewaunee where she spent the majority of her life living surrounded by beautiful coastal wetlands and historical farm homesteads. She spent many years working in the printing and photography studio business and cultivating her flower beds and vegetable garden.
Pam was a talented fine oil media artist whose statement was “capturing the beauty and emotion from everyday life”. We will continue to find her at the golden hour when driving through the rolling hills of the countryside, through the portrait of a loved one, the glimmer of rushing water down a waterfall. See her smile dance in the cadmium red of a fresh bright apple, the ultramarine blue of a bright day on Lake Michigan, titanium white of a sun lined cloud and the burnt umber of a springtime creek bed getting ready to come to life.
Pam will be remembered for her infinite bright positivity, her kindness, and her enduring faith. Her carefree nature, disarming sense of humor and zest for life made her a joy to be around. She loved her people with her whole heart and always chose peace over noise. We will forever strive to follow her example.
Pam will be sadly missed by her family, including her children Andrea Clausen, Jennifer (Jonah) Osterberg, new grandson Osterberg coming June 2026 and Dana Clausen; her mom Carol Schmidt; siblings, nieces and nephews: Lynn, Lyle, Nathan, Katherine, Jena and Anna Berceau, Mark, Lisa, Kaitlynn (Gilbert), Levi and Miranda Schmidt and Connie, Joel, Sophia, Alyssa and Vanessa Wald, Jared Clausen, Marina Bucuic; many cousins, her former husband Craig Rost (Anna and Faith) and friends that felt like family.
She was preceded in death by her father LeRoy Schmidt in 1997 and former husband and the father of her children, Shaun Clausen in 2019.
