LUXEMBURG – Prevea Health warmly invites the community to attend “Movement Matters,” a series of free presentations centered on staying active and pain-free at every age. Attendees are welcome to join for a single session or both.
Both sessions will take place at the Prevea Luxemburg Health Center, 101 School Creek Trail, Luxemburg. The topics, dates and times are as follows:
Your hands work hard every day. Dr. Joanie Columbia, a Prevea orthopedic hand surgeon, will cover common work-related injuries and age-related hand issues, plus practical ways to keep hands strong and resilient for years to come.
“We use our hands for nearly everything, from our jobs to our hobbies to simple everyday tasks, so it’s easy to take them for granted until something hurts,” said Dr. Columbia. “My goal for this session is to help people recognize the early signs of common hand issues and leave with simple habits they can start using right away to keep their hands strong.”
Chronic foot pain is manageable with the right strategies. Dr. Wyatt Wiedenfeld, a Prevea podiatrist, will share new techniques for pain relief and long-term foot health, so you can take the first step toward a more comfortable life.
“Foot pain has a way of slowing everything down. It can keep people from walking, exercising or doing the things they love,” said Dr. Wiedenfeld. “A lot of people assume they just have to live with it, but I’m looking forward to sharing practical strategies that can help our Luxemburg neighbors stay on their feet and feel more comfortable.”
Registration is required, as space is limited. Light snacks will be served. To register or get more information, please visit: www.prevea.com/classes-and-events.
