Josh Salentine, president of the Village of Luxemburg, has announced that he will be resigning his position effective this month.
Salentine has served on the village board for 11 years and as president since October 2014.
He said that the reason for his resignation was his move to a house outside of the village.
The Village Board is expected to appoint an interim president at its April 12 meeting. The board will also decide whether to hold an election for the new president in November or April 2017, according to the village clerk, MiLissa Stipe.
