Sheriff identifies Algoma man who died in Kewaunee County collision of haybine and pickup

RED RIVER - Authorities have released the name of a 37-year-old Algoma man who was killed when his pickup truck ran into the back of a haybine on Saturday.

The man has been identified as Jeremy J. Garrett. 

At around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, first responders were sent to a collision between a haybine and a pickup truck on Kewaunee County AB, just south of Kewaunee County S.

Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene. An initial investigation determined that a pickup truck Garrett was driving ran into the back of the northbound haybine "at a significant speed," according to a news release from the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department. 

The sheriff's office said that Wisconsin State Patrol is still investigating this incident.
