OCONTO FALLS – The Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team will be sending 10 athletes to the state tournament in Madison this weekend as individuals, following a tremendous performance in the sectional round on Saturday, Feb. 17 that saw the Spartans crown six champions in a field of 26 teams.
Jake Jandrin (106), Carson Neubert (120), Caleb Delebreau (138), Isaac Jerabek (144) and Max Ronsman (150) were all top finishers in their weight divisions and, for the first time in school history, L-C will be sending a female wrestler to state after Kiley Georgel dominated the 235-pound division for another Spartans first place finish.
Coming in second place and heading to State also are Michael Bostwick (126), Blakelee Bastien (132) and Trace Schoenebeck (190).
Carson Blohowiak (113) came in third in Oconto Falls and will be making his first trip to State as well.
L-C will be heading to Madison to compete as a team on March 1-2.
SHAWANO – A trio of competitors from the Storm wrestling team are on their way to the Division 3 State Tournament in Madison this weekend following their performances at sectionals in Shawano on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Mitchell VanGoethem finished second overall at 157, Kemper Robinson took third at 190 and at 285, Mitchell Boeder is on his way to Madison with a third-place showing.
