Dairy Days Dash returns for 18th annual event

LUXEMBURG – The Luxemburg Area Chamber of Commerce will once again host the Dairy Days Dash, a 5K Run/Walk.

This year’s event will be the 18th annual Dairy Days Dash.

“Every year it’s a little different depending on the weather and what other events are going on that day, but we usually have 200-300 runners…” said Andrea Dalebroux from the Luxemburg Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s always a nice, very special community event.”

The race is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Luxemburg Village Hall, 206 Maple Street, Luxemburg.

Participants will run a course through the village, beginning and ending at Village Hall.

Afterwards, they will receive scoops of ice cream and other dairy treats from the Kewaunee County Dairy Promotion.

In addition to the run itself and the ice cream at the end, Dalebroux said she looks forward to, “Seeing different people from the community coming out to support a good cause.”

“It’s nice to see familiar faces year after year and to get people healthy while promoting a local charity,” she said.

This year’s race will benefit A Cause for PAWS Kewaunee County. In the past, the event has raised money for such local groups as food pantries, boy scouts, and running clubs.

Runners and walkers interested in joining the race may register online at bit.ly/dairy-days-dash, or register in person the morning of the event beginning at 7 a.m.
