KEWAUNEE – The Kewaunee High wrestlers scored a narrow win on Thursday, Jan. 11 as they took down Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol by a final score of 37-34, improving to 3-5 for the year.
Kewaunee’s Matthew Boeder kicked things off with a win via 15-2 major decision in the 215-pound match, followed by a victory from his brother, Mitchell Boeder, at 285 pounds by way of a 7-0 decision.
In the 138-pound bout, Isaac Benz scored a win by fall at 2:51 for the Storm while, at 157 pounds, Mitchell VanGoethem pinned his Clippers opponent at 0:56.
Zak Wrobel picked up six points for Kewaunee with a pin at 4:45 in the 190-pound match.
