NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Submissions are open now through Thursday, Aug. 29, for the 79th Art Annual exhibit at the Neville Public Museum, an all-media, juried exhibition of current artworks produced by artists living in the counties of Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
This juried art exhibition began in 1942 during the height of World War II.
For over three-quarters of a century, many of this region’s most celebrated and talented artists have exhibited their work as part of this tradition.
The juror for the 79th Art Annual is Paul Salsieder. Paul is the Gallery Manager at the Portrait Society Gallery of Contemporary Art in Milwaukee.
Artists at all career levels and who are at least 18 years old are eligible to submit their work for consideration.
Each artist must submit their own artwork and may not act as an agent for another artist.
Eligible artists must reside in the counties of Green Lake, Iron, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Fond du Lac, Forest, Oneida, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Sheboygan, Vilas, Waupaca, Waushara or Winnebago in Northeast Wisconsin or Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon or Schoolcraft in Upper Michigan.
Submitted artwork should have been completed between 2022-24 and cannot have been previously exhibited at the Neville Public Museum.
Two-dimensional or three-dimensional original works may include painting, drawing, printmaking, digital art, graphics, photography, ceramics, glass, metal, mixed media, textile and more.
Reproductions and AI-generated creations are not eligible.
