TWO RIVERS - The Two Rivers Polar Bears trounced Algoma, 11-1, in a Shoreland League baseball game June 30.
The win moved the Polar Bears one-half game ahead of Algoma for second place in the league, dealing the Guins their first Shoreland loss of the season and knocking them out of a first-place tie with Denmark, which beat Casco, 6-2, the same night to remain atop the standings.

DENMARK - The host Devilbears swept a doubleheader from Kewaunee, 10-4 and 25-0, to remain unbeaten in Shoreland League play.
Denmark will attempt to defend its undefeated league record and top spot in the standings when it plays Two Rivers at 7:30 p.m. July 7 in Two Rivers, after the Star-News press deadline.
