Upper Peninsula man hit by lightning in Kewaunee

KEWAUNEE - A 30-year-old man from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was reported unconscious after he was hit by lightning Thursday morning in the city.

According to the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department, the Kewaunee Rescue Squad was called at 9:22 a.m. to attend to the man, reportedly from Iron Mountain.

He was taken to Green Bay-area hospital and met on the way by an EMT from Brown County Rescue, who boarded the ambulance for the ride to the hospital to provide additional treatment.
