NORTHEAST WIS. – Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) is ready to welcome farmers back to the WPS Farm Show. The popular event kicks off Tuesday, March 24 — which is also National Ag Day — at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) grounds in Oshkosh.
The 64th WPS Farm Show draws farmers and families from across the Upper Midwest.
“We are excited to host this signature event and connect farmers with the latest innovations that can help their farms succeed for years to come,” said Rob Juneau, manager — WPS Farm Show. “Each year, the WPS Farm Show helps support an industry that’s a vital piece of our state’s economy and legacy. We’re proud to continue this tradition as part of our commitment to support farmers and strengthen our communities.”
The National Ag Day program, hosted by the Agriculture Council of America, encourages every American to understand how food and fiber products are produced, value the essential role of agriculture in maintaining a strong economy and appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products. The WPS Farm Show underscores that mission, showcasing firsthand what the agriculture industry is capable of.
The WPS Farm Show includes 400 exhibitors from across the United States and Canada that will fill four hangars and two exhibitor tents on the EAA grounds. Animal nutrition products, large farm machinery, precision agriculture technology and robotic milking equipment are some of the hundreds of products that will be on display.
While many exhibitors are returning, new businesses continue to see the WPS Farm Show as a valuable event. There are 33 exhibitors making their first appearance at this year’s show. They will be showcasing dozens of new products, including crop health solutions, drone technology, livestock feed mixers and precision mapping technology.
National Ag Day encourages young people to consider diverse career opportunities in the industry. Through the show, attendees can see how fields of study like farm production, agribusiness management, research and engineering, food science, education and energy all contribute to agriculture.
