Send your organization’s events and activities to [email protected] or P.O. Box 86, Kewaunee, WI 54216, preferably two weeks in advance but no later than noon Tuesday for the Saturday edition.

• ADULT SUMMER READING PROGRAM: Participants sign up at the circulation desk and pick up Read 2 Get 1 Free slips to get started. Once participants read two books they turn in their slips for a coupon for a free paperback at the Algoma Library Friends’ bookstore, Book Corner, 401 Third St., Algoma.

Saturday, July 1

• RIO CREEK FLY-IN AND HANGAR DANCE, 7:30 a.m., Rio Creek Airport, E4351 County K, Algoma. Lunch, antique car and tractor show from Model A Club. Music by Mark Jirikovec Polka Band, airplane rides, silent auction, youth activities. 920-837-7777 or www.riocreekairport.com.

• STUDENT MUSICAL, 2 and 5:30 p.m. “Aladdin” by Kewaunee students. Immanuel Family Life Center, 1012 Wisconsin Ave., Kewaunee. Small admission fee. Everyone welcome.

• SMOKEHOUSE JAMBOREE, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Barnsite Retreat and Events Center, 109 Duvall St., Kewaunee. Pig roast and picnic favorites. Music, children’s activities. Local vendors (jewelers, potters, photographers, painters, fiber artists). Auctions. Smokehouse Pentathlon includes whiffle baseball, egg toss, three-legged race, sack race, and pie-eating contest. Wednesday, July 5

• PRESCHOOL STORY TIME, 10:30 a.m. Fridays, Kewaunee Public Library, 822 Juneau St.

• FRIDAY FARMERS MARKET, 8 a.m.-noon, World’s Tallest Grandfather Clock parking lot, Milwaukee Street, Kewaunee. Locally grown produce, canned good, crafts and more.

• RAKU FIRING, 5-9 p.m., Clay on Steele, 221 Steele St., Algoma. Paint your own Raku pot and watch it get pulled from the kiln at 1840 degrees. Pizza provided. $10. 920-487-3501.

• ART RECEPTION, 5:30-8 p.m., James May Gallery, 213 Steele St., Algoma. Opening of new exhibit of ceramic sculptures by Elizabeth Pechecek and contemporary quilts by Mary Anne Jordan. Also visit pop-up shops on Steele Street. 262-753-3130.

• VINTAGE SNOWMOBILE SHOW, 8 a.m.-noon, Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis St., Kewaunee. Food and refreshments. Music by “Greatest Hits” Polka Band, noon-4 p.m. Adam Trask rock band after awards. Sponsored by Lakeshore Area Vintage Snowmobile Association. 920-255-4367.

• LET ME BE FRANK TRIBUTE CONCERT, 5 p.m. food and beverages, 6 p.m. concert, Rio Creek Airport, E4351 County K, Algoma. Outdoor setting, but will move indoors if necessary. Proceeds benefit Rio Creek Aviation Foundation and Algoma Optimists to support scholarships for high school grads. $5 at the gate.

• PARALLEL 44 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, 1:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Parallel 44 Vineyard & Winery, N2185 Sleepy Hollow Road, Stangelville. $6 sampling. • SUMMER FESTIVAL, 1 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Cold Country Vines & Wines, E3207 Nuclear Road, Kewaunee. Music by Green Bay Pickers with Eddie Biebel, 1-3 p.m. and Copper Box, 4-7:30 p.m.
