Larry Blahnik

Larry G. Blahnik, 79, Algoma, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 at his home. Larry was born June 6, 1944 in Algoma to Jacob and Henrietta (Krueger) Blahnik.
Larry graduated from the Algoma High School and entered the US Army
After his honorable discharge he came back and worked at Kewaunee Engineering until his retirement in 2006. Larry helped his brother Donny for many years raising steers on his farm.
He enjoyed playing cards, trap shooting and hunting.
Larry is survived by his two brothers Bob Blahnik, Algoma and Maynard (Mary Jo) Blahnik, Kewaunee; three sisters-in-law Bev Blahnik, Kewaunee, Joanne Blahnik, Luxemburg, and Sue Blahnik, Forestville; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers Howard, Leo, Jim, Pete, Vincent and Donny; two sisters Gert Blahnik and Myrtle Mattice; three sisters-in-law Judi Blahnik, Delores Blahnik and Helen Blahnik; and nephew Tim Blahnik.
A private family burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Algoma.
A celebration of life for the public will be held at a later date.
The Schinderle Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Larry and his family.
