The Shoreland’s back-to-back Pitcher of the Year winner Noah Lindsley allowed just one run while striking out five with no walks in helping the Casco A’s win the league title last Thursday.
The 4-1 score over visiting Denmark gave Casco its first championship since 2005.
Trevor Reinhardt and Mitch Jandrin each had RBIs in the first inning, and Patrick Daniels blasted a two-run home run to center in the bottom of the eighth.
Lindsley worked the first 7-1/3 innings, while Reinhardt recorded the final five outs for the save.
A’s pitcher and outfielder Owen Deprez was this year’s Shoreland League Most Valuable Player. Jandrin (catcher), Reinhardt (infielder) and Daniels (outfield) also made the All-Shoreland team. Deprez earned spots at both pitcher and outfielder.
