Judith “Judy” Ann LuMaye

Judith “Judy” Ann LuMaye, 80, of Luxemburg, died September 14, 2026, from complications associated with a stroke. She was born on April 2, 1946, on her grandparents’ family farm in Duvall to Raymond and Lucille (Everard) Marchant. On August 31, 1968, Judy married the love of her life, Harold J. LuMaye at St. Mary’s of the Angels Catholic Church, Green Bay. Together they shared 55 years of marriage and two daughters, Debbie and Kim. They spent most of their married life in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and moved to Luxemburg in 2007 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

As a young girl, Judy spent every summer on Little Grandma’s farm in Duvall. She would tell stories of driving tractors and spending time with Grandma. Judy was a 1964 graduate of Preble High School, Green Bay. At 18, Judy moved to Two Rivers and went to work at Paragon Electric Company. Upon the arrival of their first child, Judy became a stay-at-home mom. As a stay-at-home mom, she did it all, cooking, gardening, canning, baking, cutting the lawn, etc.

Judy loved music, dancing and most of all laughing! Like most of her generation, she loved Elvis music! She enjoyed crocheting, word finds, and talking on the phone with her sisters. Judy loved to cut the lawn and be outside. You would often see her using the zero turn lawnmower Dad “bought her”. All he had to do was keep the gas cans full! Judy was at her happiest when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren. When they were little she never turned down a sleepover, and as adults Judy never missed a chance for an adventure with them!

Shortly after Harold passed, Judy had a stroke and could no longer live independently, but never lost her will to do what she could on her own terms. She missed driving and cutting lawn, but she found other ways to get outside! She enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends. She especially loved having her nails done with her granddaughter, Danella.

Survivors include her daughters Debbie (Darold) Van Ess, Kim LuMaye, grandchildren Darrin Van Ess, Danella (Dylin) Kollross, and Grace VanDenPlas; her mother, Lucille (Marchant) Enz; two sisters, Carol Rose and LouAnn Spice. Judy is further survived by sisters-in-law Florence LuMaye, Sr. Gerald (Angela) LuMaye and Anne Zeimet and brother-in-law Lawrence Jandrin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold LuMaye; her father, Raymond Marchant; her father-in-law and mother-in-law August and Adeline (Tassoul) LuMaye; sister Joanne Stiebs; brothers-in-law August LuMaye, James Rose and Anthony Spice. Judy was further preceded in death by Harold’s family, Leo (Delores), Harold, Harry (Vallie), Melvin (Betty), Joseph (Muriel), Norbert (Blanche), Maurice (Jeanne), Lawrence (Joyce), Gerald, Isadore (Beverly), Bernard (Beverly), Cletus “Henry” (Sandi) and James (Pat); sisters Lilly (John) Derenne, Louisa Anne, Mary (Lawrence) Conard, Nora (Norman) Loberger, Mildred Jandrin, Alice (Norbert) Willems, Margaret, and Adeline; brothers-in-law Ralph Zeimet; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 Baird Street, Green Bay, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. with a service to follow at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Private burial will take place at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Luxemburg.
