What are your plans for post-graduation looking like?

After graduation I will be continuing my education at NWTC. From there I plan to transfer to a university to pursue a career in physical education.

Do you have any siblings?

I have two sisters. Savannah is the oldest and is currently attending St. Norbert College where she is continuing her softball career. Gracie is in seventh grade and I’m excited for her future in high school sports where she plans to continue playing basketball and softball.

How long have you been playing basketball?

I first went out for basketball in third grade where I also was wrestling during that time too. After that year of craziness, I decided to focus on just wrestling. It wasn’t until my eighth grade year when I decided to give basketball another try. I fell in love with the game all over again and decided to stick with it.

Do you watch NBA basketball ever? What do you think about this year’s All-Star game reaching nearly 400 points scored?

I watch some NBA basketball. Mostly the Phoenix Suns because my favorite player is Devin Booker. This year’s All-Star game was definitely all about the offense. Allowing almost 400 points scored means that both teams need to play some better defense.

You used to wrestle and your father is one of the wrestling coaches at L-C. Did you ever consider trying the sport at the high school level?

Having my dad coach wrestling all my life made me fall in love with the sport. Learning the moves from him lead me to become a youth-state champion. When I decided to step off the mat for the last time high school girls wrestling wasn’t as big of an opportunity as it is now. I have always considered the idea of going back, but it is past my time and I am very hopeful that one day I can coach Luxemburg-Casco’s very first girls wrestling team.

What’s the best sports movie you’ve ever seen and why?

My favorite sports movie is “Greater.” I love this movie because even though Brandon Burlsworth is seen as a walk-on, he works harder than everyone else to prove his worth and it ultimately makes him a better player and more importantly a better man.
