Children will be able to meet some of their favorite television and movie characters during this year's Halloween Walk at Algoma High School on Oct. 19 and 20.

ALGOMA — Every year, members of the Algoma community and local students gather together to organize the Halloween Walk event for children of all ages. This year's Halloween Walk will be held on Oct. 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at Algoma High School, 1715 Division St., Algoma.

The goal of the Halloween Walk is to provide children with a safe and fun opportunity to meet their favorite television and movie characters. Children dress in their Halloween costumes and walk through Algoma High School's hallways where they see these characters come to life.

This year’s walk will feature characters from "PAW Patrol" and "Star Wars" as well as a walk through Batman’s Cave, favorite Disney princesses, characters from "Toy Story" and many more.

After the walk, the children are invited to visit the craft area, energy zone and concessions stand. The craft area will offer face painting, temporary tattoos, creative rock coloring and more. The energy zone will feature a bouncy house, an obstacle course and a LEGO building station. There will also be train rides.

Cost for the event is $6 per child and $3 per adult. This year, $1 from every child's admission will be given to a local character in Algoma.

For more information or to donate to this event, contact Jennifer Massey at 920-487-7001 ext. 2121 or [email protected]
