Trick-or-treat hours still on in some Kewaunee County communities

KEWAUNEE – It's time once again to pull your Halloween costume on over a sturdy fall coat and go meet the neighbors, in search of treats.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released recommended safety measures for trick-or-treating.

It is encouraging participants to wear masks and carry hand sanitizer and asks that participants handing out treats leave the treats at the end of their driveways or yards. Treats should also be individually wrapped.

According to the CDC, if you may have COVID-19 or you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not participate in in-person Halloween festivities and should not give out candy to trick-or-treaters.

Here is a list of trick-or-treating hours for cities, villages and towns in Kewaunee County. Communities not listed have no set hours.

Thursday, Oct. 29

  • Kewaunee — 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Carlton — 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 31

  • Algoma — Not posting any hours this year
  • Red River — 4 to 7 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 1

  • Casco — noon to 2 p.m.
  • Luxemburg — 2 to 4 p.m.
