Congratulations on signing to play football at UW-Oshkosh. Can you tell us what it was like to select the Titans for your post-high school career? How did your visits to their campus go? Were you considering anywhere else?
Choosing the right college for me was a long process, and UW-Oshkosh just filled all the boxes I was looking for. Playing football was an option, it was close to home, and I have had multiple people tell me how great of an experience it was for them. There were a couple other schools that I was considering, but none of that mattered when I went on a visit to UW-Oshkosh. During the visit we got to have individual talks with just about all the coaches, and I realized why these guys were all so close. The atmosphere that the team had was something I had not seen yet on other visits, so it was a game changer for me.
Tell us a bit about the most memorable moment (so far) of your football career?
So far, the most memorable moment would be my last first. By that I mean the first game of my senior season. That was when it all kind of set in, and I realized that in two short months it would all be over.
You had an interesting path to becoming a contributor for the baseball team. Before this year, you were a track athlete at Algoma High. Walk us through your decision to go back to baseball.
Ultimately the decision of me switching over my senior season was just the guys on the team. A lot of my close friends have always played baseball, and I figured that since it was my last year, why not? The group in Algoma is truly special, the growth they have had over the last 3 seasons is crazy, and I thought it would be awesome to be a part of that.
What do you plan on studying in Oshkosh?
At Oshkosh I am planning to major in accounting and getting a certificate in business analytics.
Favorite pro football player of all time?
Favorite player of all time is the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady. Not only did he go to the greatest college in the world, but his achievements in his career are insane.
Best sports movie you’ve ever seen?
I am kind of stuck between two movies, one being “Benchwarmers,” and the other being “The Replacements.”
I have nine siblings including four brothers and five sisters. Most of them are either half or step siblings, and I only have two full-blood siblings.
