KEWAUNEE – The Kewaunee School District recently approved  Zachary Krause as the new middle school principal for the 2024-25 school year.

Krause has been in education for 15 years and grew up in neighboring Mishicot.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Norbert College and a masters degree in administration from Viterbo University.

Krause began his career in Bonduel in 2010 where he taught third grade and sixth grade.

He also coached the JV baseball team.

In 2017, Mr. Krause began teaching fourth grade at Magee Elementary School in Two Rivers.

Most recently, Krause just finished teaching 6th grade science and social studies, as well as serving as summer school principal in the Kewaunee School District.

“Krause believes his educational experiences have led to the opportunity to build and foster relationships with the middle school students, families, and staff.  He believes communication and collaboration are important factors in providing effective and accessible education for our students.  He wants to continue to build on these relationships to create a safe and engaging learning environment for all students,” a district release stated.

Krause and his wife, Kelly, have four children — Brooke is a junior at UW-Platteville, Madison is a sixth grader, Ashlyn is a fifth grader and Reed is a second grader.

He also officiates high school football and middle/high school wrestling.
