KEWAUNEE – The Kewaunee School District recently approved Lindsey Hudson as the new Kewaunee High School principal for the 2024-25 school year.
Hudson grew up in Munising, Mich., and has been in education for 18 years.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in education with a double minor in English and mathematics from Northern Michigan University, she has also obtained a masters in reading and reading specialist and recently finished her coursework for certification as a principal and director of instruction licensure.
Hudson began her career in Kewaunee in 2006 as an at-risk teacher for Grades 5-10 and has held a variety of teaching and leadership roles in the Kewaunee School District over the past 18 years.
“Mrs. Hudson believes her various roles in education in the Kewaunee School District has afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of staff members, students, families and community members to attain a common goal to improve educational practices for our students. She strives to ensure that all students have support to be successful, she believes that all students can learn given a positive and safe environment, accessible content and positive adult connections. Collaboration, communication and consistency are keys to student success,” a district release stated.
Hudson and her husband, James, have two children, Lily and Noah, who are students at Kewaunee High School.
She said that she is “very excited to continue her dedication to the Kewaunee School District students, families and staff in her new role as high school principal.”
